another shopping spree weekend

Saturday, 17 Dec 2005
Went to Amsterdam that afternoon with Jur. We splitted up before dinner because each of us had different interest to fulfil. Me >> clothes shopping, Jur >> games shopping and photo hunting.
It's been awhile since I went to ZARA and the gang. So, I ended up with another 4 shopping bags at the end of business day (shop's closing time, to be exact!).
ZARA, MNG (again!), Morgan and Kookai. Tired but happy! To top it off, we had dinner at New King! Yipppiiiie! It was soooo my kind of day!

Another Koopzondag in Hilversum. Plus... most of the shops have started their year-end sale! Bad...bad idea to stroll around in the city! Anyway, after Jur and I had our late lunch, we splitted up (again!!!) to do our own thing. Such a cooperative hubby he is!
Today I ended up buying b'day pressie for Maaike (and some other stuff) in Esprit, Benetton (they were 50% off discount, for God's sake!) and then to Differenza (where they sell mainly VILA, Vero Moda and ONLY stuffs). I seriously need a bigger closet by now... *yikes!*

Koopzondag!!

I felt so so much better this morning!! Perhaps, the reason I did, was because this very Sunday, shops were opened in H-sum ;-) Had plenty of rest yesterday, so I was completely re-charged to go through the day (shopping to be precise). Let's see the need-to-buy-list so far: ooops.. only 1 item I needed! A dressy top in creme/beige colour to match the cream skirt I bought months ago in MNG! It was on sale when I bought it, but I never got any chance to wear it (I just cut out the tag this evening, btw!!) So... 3 hours shopping time, I ended up with 4 shopping bags from my favourite stores (H&M, MNG, MEXX and Esprit), what the hell had happened with the I-only-need-to-buy-one-item-from-my-list plan? God knows....
From Esprit:
  • a pair of flared dark denim pants (make my butts look nice);
  • a pair of straight denim pants (without any pear-shape effect);
  • a black top with long sleeve and very cute front (this top is soo forgiving for bulging tummy! A must buy!) and
  • a white rustic belt with wings and white jewel on the buckle.
From MNG:
  • a black, ribbed, cardigan with 3/4 sleeve (very slimming! can be used daily, thus a must buy!!);
  • a versatile wool-silk mix top with short sleeve and rolled neck in beautiful creamy colour (this one is exactly the item from the list I talked about!!!);
  • a long sleeved, beige colour wool top with very deep V-neck (I can combine it with any camisole I have at home);
  • a dressy one-button cardigan with crystals and feather on the left chest (perfect for partying or outing in the evening).
From H&M:
  • 2 Stella Mc Cartney's tops:
    • a dusty pink sweater with wide, pink, satin, ribbon piping on the waist and sleeves;
    • a fluttery, light, wrap top in beautiful green colour with beaded string ornament;
  • a dusty pink buttoned shirt with flower print;
  • a set of Solange's jewellery line (earrings, necklace and a cocktail ring - all caged crystals in dark silver colour)
From Mexx:
  • a plaid skirt with assymmetrical, biased cut in warm earthy colour (green-brown-creme combo) ;
  • a sleek, dressy, black skirt - also in biased cut (I love the material , since it falls perfectly on your body without any clingy effect);
  • a black, long-sleeved, mohair bolero;
  • a pretty, black lace top with deep V-neck and tan colour lining.

High street fashion, watchout!

silverado bag from Chloé

I was hunting for this cool Kookai bag which resembles the Silverado bag from Chloé. Searching through the internet I bumped into this article about how high street fashion are about to be the next target of big labels.. *oh no... !*
I know it's kinda unfair when you made something and other people plagiarize it and make it their benefit.... but isn't it nice to find something so fashionable at an affordable price? It's not like we all born loaded or whatosever... hmmm I think if the design is not totally ripped, they should just let it go... *just my 2 cents..*

Why imitation is no longer flattery for fashion labels
By Hilary Alexander, Fashion Director

After years of turning a blind eye to imitators, global fashion labels are to fight back by targeting the high street.

The Chloé brand said yesterday that it was investigating measures to combat copy-cat fashions in the wake of an onslaught of cheap versions of its distinctive handbags and dresses....

gondola shoes - PRADA

These are killer shoes I need to have! I have developped a crush on white colour since last spring. Back to history, my wardrobe mainly consisted of black colour with splash of blue every once in blue moon. Until my brother's remarked that he seriously thought I need more colours to liven up. I started to invest in red stuff. Not too long, I have this lovely burnt orange skinny cord turtleneck, lavender to purple tone tops, tan-colour tanks, hot pink cut-outs, mint green blouse and juuuust recently, YELLOW (I cringe when I even think of using this colour!), apparently, if you choose carefully, it ends up nicely). I Still love my blue colours too, but I go over the dark navy blue and reach further to aqua colours which surprisingly looks good with my skin tone!

Ok, back to this gondola shoes, I tried on this lovely pair in Arnhem couple of months ago, and boy I could not resist to take them off... if not remembering that I still need to pay my dentist bill which was oh so high...
A girl can keep her dream with her... I hope autumn will come soon, and I definitely will get reduction for this summer number... yeah... with finance issue at bay... I could not just jump on a pair of shoes like Carrie with her Manolo's...
